MONSTER TRUCK WINTER NATIONALS CRASH INTO THE SOVEREIGN BANK ARENA ON JANUARY 5-6
(TRENTON, NJ – NOVEMBER 16, 2006) – The Monster Trucks are coming back to the Arena for a second straight year! Presented by Checkered Flag Productions (www.checkeredflagproductions.com), the carnage of the car crushing Monster Trucks will feature the King of the Monster Trucks "BIGFOOT". The Bad Boys of Racing will be competing at the Sovereign Bank Arena on Friday, January 5 at 7:30 p.m. and Saturday, January 6 at 2 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. Tickets go on sale this Monday, November 20 at 10 a.m.
The legendary BIGFOOT factory backed Ford will challenge SUDDEN IMPACT, BAD HABIT, VIPER, T-MAXX, and SHOCKWAVE. The competition between these television stars will be fierce with side-by-side monster truck drag racing over dirt jumps until all are eliminated but one champion. This is the biggest line-up of Star on the east coast!
Then hold on for the wheelie popping, axel twisting, tailgate ripping, car crushing action of the Monster Truck Free Style Contest. While watching the trucks going wild crushing cars, vans, who knows what else they will attack! The crowd decides which Monster Truck puts on the best show of reckless abandon and annihilation in the Monster Truck Freestyle Contest.
Also part of the event will be the Extreme Free Style Motorcycle Jump Off Contest, seen on the X Games. You will not believe your eyes when these daredevil motorcycle jumpers fly off a ramp and do all sorts of tricks including Heart Attacks, Kiss of Death, Lazy Boy and more. Local hot rodders do not want to miss Tuff Truck Races, where local riders get a chance to show how tough their street trucks and Jeeps as are these drivers negotiate an obstacle course and race against the clock. Anyone with a legal driver’s license can enter. Local motorcycle fanatics are also able to enter into Speed Moto X motorcycle races, a cross between arena cross and flat track.
Tickets for Monster Truck Winter Nationals are $18.50 or $15.50 for adult and $10 or $5 for youth (12 and under) tickets (prices do not include facility fee). Adult ticket prices increase $2 each on show day. A Family Four Pack is available for purchase from November 20 through January 4 and includes four upper level tickets, four food vouchers (popcorn & medium soda) and four pit passes.
