ELMO HELPS RENAME HAMILTON AVE TO SESAME STREET - County Executive Brian Hughes and Local Children to Participate in “Color Parade” to Help Kick Off “Elmo’s Coloring Book” at the Sovereign Bank Arena
Local children will also be in attendance to watch the official street name change which will remain while the show is in town. Elmo and the County Executive will begin the official “Color Parade” in which the children will march down the newly named “Sesame Street” and will end at the Sovereign Bank Arena where they will enjoy special treats, coloring stations, sidewalk chalking and more!
Sesame Street Live “Elmo’s Coloring Book” arrives at the Sovereign Bank Arena this Thursday and will be in town until Sunday, April 1 for eight shows. Feeling blue? How about mellow yellow or red-hot? Colors evoke many emotions, but what would happen if they all disappeared? Elmo and friends join Professor Art and his helpers, the Palettes, as they travel into their drawings to ancient Egypt, the land of the dinosaurs, and a very musical junkyard. The colors begin to vanish as the characters perform an array of musical numbers, including, “Fuzzy and Blue,” “Red-Hot Tango,” and “Yellow Polka.” Along the way, they learn the importance of sharing, diversity and acceptance of others - even those with no color at all.
