Sherman Pendergarst and Jon Murphy set to square off this Friday night at the Sovereign Bank Arena

(TRENTON, NJ – March 19, 2007) Mixed Martial Arts comes to the Sovereign Bank Arena this Friday night with the heavyweight battle between Sherman Pendergarst and Jon Murphy highlighting the evening. The card also includes two title fights as well as 13 additional fights on the card.

Sherman Pendergarst is a 6'1 230 pound former collegiate wrestler and State High School wrestling champion with a background in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing and Kickboxing. He is originally from Baltimore MD. but now lives and trains with team MFS Elite in Bettendorf, IA.

Jon Murphy tips the scales at 242 pounds and is an up and coming heavyweight fighting in only his third professional fight. Jon hails from Minersville, PA located in the Lehigh Valley. Jon trains at the Anthracite Combat Club in Schuylkill Haven, PA. His fighting background is in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu and traditional Boxing.

Murphy and Pendergarst will headline Extreme Challenge 75–Fearless Fighters coming to the Sovereign Bank Arena on Friday March 23, 2007 at 7:30pm. The official weigh-in will take place at Kat Man Du on Thursday March 22 at 7:00pm.
